DESCRIPTION

Our philosophy at Bridge to Nature focuses on Connecting kids with one another and nature, and Transforming their development through therapy in the Great Outdoors. We work WITH parents in the process of helping their children become more coordinated, confident, calm, and caring.

Within our approach, connection refers to the facilitator’s use of self in connecting children to one another and to nature. Transformation refers to the use of evidence-based interventions to support children's development of motor skills (coordination), mental health (confidence), self-regulation (calmness), and social skills (caring). Finally, the great outdoors refers not only to the use of nature as a setting for our sessions, but also to the role of nature as a co-facilitator with the Bridge to Nature Team in our process.

Our 90-minute sessions will include a hike, an engaging activity, a shared snack break (please bring your own snack and water), and free play.
